“ I would definitely recommend this store, very friendly staff, the owner is very nice and conversational. A nice atmosphere as the neighborhood is pretty quiet. Very big menu (including obscurities like deep fried Mars bar) with some vegetarian options. Very generous and delicious serving sizes for a quite affordable price. The wait time is pretty standard ~20mins (at least for the fisherman's basket). I've been going here with my partner for months, as its delicious, friendly, and affordable (even for us students). We typically get the fisherman's basket: $25 for a large serve of chips, fish, calamari, crab sticks, prawn cocktails, and some other bits, we always have leftovers. Their large menu always entices us to get some extra things, like the amazing pineapple fritters. They also sell phone chargers, which is pretty handy. P&Js will continue to be my #1 fish and chips shop (and imo better than the parfrey place seafood), and I would highly recommend. Plus there's a Foodstore next door with a wide variety of affordable drinks to have with your chips:) ”

I feel like Norm from Cheers when I call and they know my usual order - chicken burger and chips, with 2 fish sticks (recently added to our order and LOVE them!!). O M G! YUM! Let's be proud, Rochedale South residents! Support local and tell your friends, and tell visitors, and tell people on your sports team. How great would it be to see all those people who stream in and out of the sports fields, stream straight through PJ's!?!? I'd love to see all the parking spaces full and cars lined up the street! ”

“ I was slightly overwhelmed by the sheer volume of choice here, especially as I just happened past hungry. But I was greated, given plenty of time to have a look and a think. I got a hamd cheese salad roll and chips, the salad and the chips were all lovely and fresh, the roll was made to order, and they thought of everything when taking my order. I really enjoyed the food and felt like it had been made just for me. I guess this is owner operated as you felt the dedication and the warmth from the people working here. So very glad I happened past! Keep up the amazing work ”

“ What an absolute gentleman the owner was. His wife was humble too. Had a lovely short chat with full of laughs n smile in the rainy afternoon after I visited nearby monastery. The food tastes great for the cost it has. I was super impressed with the hospitality. I hope that they can arrange some tables though the space is small. Just so that customers can put their food in table n eat. Rest assured. I loved the food, owners n price. ”
